Casa Victoria is set in a magical secluded location, designed by its artist owner and making the most of breathtaking views over the almond orchards to the unspoilt countryside beyond.  The property is in five acres of almond, fig and olive trees, and although the white village of Gaucin is just 2.5km away, there is hardly a neighbour in sight.

Casa Victoria has a separate property (casita) set in the grounds. Casita Clara is available all year round. If the main house is booked the casita is included in the price.

The main house has a spacious open plan living area comprising of a dining/sitting room with Moroccan style glass skylight, large oak dining table with chairs and a beautiful Moroccan tile and oak floor throughout, with many original paintings.  The kitchen is handmade from local oak and has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, sink and fridge freezer.  Double doors lead through to a sitting room with sofa, coffee table, satellite TV, DVD player, ipod speakers and internet connection.  French doors lead to a lovely wine-covered terrace with table and chairs and fantastic views to the mountains and North Africa. 

The master bedroom has a double four poster bed, wooden floors and a picture window facing east for wonderful sunrises.  The second bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed beneath.  The bathroom has blue stucco walls, bath with shower over, WC and basin. 

From the terrace iron steps lead up to a large partly covered terrace, ideal for sunbathing and evening drinks.  The washing machine is housed here also.  There is a small lawn garden with central palm tree, leading to the pool on the level below.  The pool (8m x 4m) has underwater lighting and wooden decking at one end – at the other is a paved stone area leading to the apartment.

Casita Clara

The pretty casita has one double bedroom with a four poster bed, a cosy sitting room which is separated from the kitchen by a beautiful antique screen.  The kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge freezer and sink.  The bathroom is accessed via the terrace, and has a walk in shower, basin and WC and washing machine.  The large covered terrace has a table and chairs, and antique double doors leading to the pool area.  The casita can also be accessed via steps leading down from the parking area above.

The property is unusually and uniquely decorated using Moroccan tiles and rugs, traditional lime paint, with many original works of art. Toddler and baby friendly, although outside of the main house, garden and pool area the land is steep and wild.  The main house is all on one level, ideal for wheelchair use. When booking the main house, the casita is included and will not be rented to another party.
