Flamenco nights (arranged on request) This is a fabulous andalucian cortijo that is totally authentic, which has recently been restored. It occupies a splendid position with no other properties nearby. The villages of Arriate and Seteρil, with restaurants, bars and shops are ten minutes away, whilst the town of Ronda is twenty five minutes by car. The views are excellent and the surrounding countryside the finest you will find in Spain.
The pool area is in an elevated part of the garden to appreciate the rolling hills around the property. The swimming pool measures 9x5 meters with full filtration system and has thatched umbrellas for shade. A long refectory table with seating for ten people is provided for outside dining with a built-in- barbecue. There is also delightful flower - filled courtyard in which to relax.
Inside the house is a large thirty feet room that contains the sitting room, dining room and kitchen. It is has a beamed ceiling, an exposed stone wall and a large open fireplace. The kitchen has a four- ring gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is also a small snug sitting room and a square hallway filled with local artifacts.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms, three with double beds and one with three single beds. There are two bathrooms with shower, basin, lavatory and bidet, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
The cortijo makes its own wine from a small vineyard and once a year in the second week of September the grapes are harvested and crushed in the courtyard. The wine is stored in large barrels in the bodega, which is maintained by a family member who lives in a completely separate part of the cortijo. The garden and pool area is totally private for the guests.
Flamenco Concerts can be arranged in the Cortijo, ranging from 250.00 - 900.00 depending on the number of performers. |
