(Eagles Castle). Open 11-14.00, 17.00-19.00.
There are no large supermarkets or chainstores in
Gaucin, but the many local food stores, general shops
and specialised shops sell a large selection of food,
household products and clothes.
It is a true experience to shop for food in the
village as the shopkeepers are very aware of the
appreciation of fresh locally grown produce

whatever is
in season.
Prices in the village shops are generally lower than the
coast.

There is a municipal food market with a churro-maker,
butcher, greengrocer, fishmonger and organic health food
products.
A
fishmonger from Algeciras with very good fresh fish
comes to the petrol station each Tuesday and Thursday in
the afternoon.
There are two small supermarkets in Gaucin.
One across from the Guardia Civil by the cross
roads to Algeciras, and the other on the street by the
chemist.
Both have a good selection of the basic necessities.
