For over a century the Serrania de Ronda has been appreciated by painters for its landscape that still remains largely unspoiled. At all times of the year the landscape offers up a different but always beautiful and arresting scene. In every direction from Ronda itself there are  vistas to make you stop and stare and take the time to reflect. The landscape feeds us in more ways than one. The fields of wheat, corn and olives, the oak trees, the mountains that store our water give us life in the most practical sense but also form a backdrop that nourishes our emotional needs. The light is renowned. Sometimes the clarity is startling and sometimes the blue is so blue it appears surreal. Bright red poppies in May are cast against this vivid ultra marine blue and wave and dance................................................. 

So bring your paints pastels and pencils and take something home to remember you holiday, an activity  that all the family can take part in. -
