This charming country property has been recently renovated and enjoys
the most breathtaking mountain views – eagles, kestrels and vultures
soar overhead, and the local shepherds grazing sheep the only sources of
disturbance in this utterly tranquil setting.
The traditional white village of El Gastor is 5 minutes drive
down the track, whilst the lovely town of Ronda just half and hour away.
A wide track leads up from the village, through beautiful rolling
countryside. Set in 2 acres
of olive trees and grazing land and with a pretty cobbled patio
surrounded by a low wall and bouganvilla covered dining area with a
table and chairs. The
swimming pool measures 10m x 5m and is furnished with wooden sun beds
and looks out across to the mountains and the village far below, with a
covered terrace above with a table and chairs – perfect for enjoying the
stunning summer sunsets.
Inside, old Moroccan doors lead to a spacious and comfortable sitting
room with open fireplace, sofas and armchairs, bright cushions and rugs,
and with a large flat screen TV, DVD player and music system.
The large well equipped kitchen has a central handmade wooden
work area, with further black granite surfaces.
There is a gas hob and oven and a sink, adjacent is the utility
room with plenty of storage space, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and
icemaker. Opposite is the
laundry room with washing machine.
The large wood dining table with chairs seats 8, and is
surrounded by the owners art.
On the ground floor the master bedroom has a large double bed,
bamboo-beamed ceiling, wood-burner and french doors leading out to the
pool area. The en suite
bathroom has bath, walk in shower, wc and basin.
There are a further two double bedrooms, one with doors leading
out to the patio, both share a shower room with basin, and adjacent
separate wc. All rooms have
traditional terracotta floor tiles and ceiling fans, ensuring coolness
in the hotter months.
Upstairs is a pretty self-contained double bedroom with sofa and
wood-burner, with an en suite shower room with basin and wc, and its own
private roof terrace.
There is a Weber barbeque and table tennis table on a shady terrace to
one side of the house.
N.B – There are railings on two sides of the pool, but a short drop down on the further side – making this property unsuitable for children under 6 yrs of age. One double bedroom downstairs, plus the double bedroom upstairs can both be made into twin bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom is available only if booked for the up to 8 price.
