All prices are in pounds sterling and are for bookings of one week (7 nights).
El Olivar is situated just five minutes from the village of Arriate, in
the small quiet hamlet of La Cimada.
Ronda is 15 minutes drive away, and the delightful white villages
of Setenil and El Gastor within easy reach.
The house has been charmingly decorated in true Andalucian rustic
style, with many interesting antiques belonging to the owner’s family.
To one side of the house is a pretty covered terrace, full of flowering
geraniums, pots of herbs and a fountain, with a table and chairs for
alfresco dining. There is a
large open-plan living area, with a sofa and two comfortable arm chairs,
satellite television and coffee table, with a pool/ dining- table to one
end of the room. Antique
bookcases, tables and pictures give the place a truly unique feel.
Off from the living area is a large double bedroom with oak
wardrobes, a table and chairs, with a bathroom with lavatory, bidet,
sink and walk-in shower adjacent.
There is a further twin bedroom with built-in wardrobe, armchairs
and views out to the pool, with a shower room with lavatory and sink
adjacent. The well-equipped
kitchen has granite work surfaces, with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher,
sink, oven and hob and a microwave.
There is a dining table and chairs to one end, and an open
fireplace. A door leads out
from here to the separate laundry room with washing machine.
A wooden staircase from the kitchen leads up to a lovely cool
double bedroom with views on three sides, and with en suite shower room
with walk in shower, lavatory and basin.
The spacious garden has an abundance of flowering shrubs, with palm and
pink pepper trees giving much needed shade in the hotter summer months,
with fantastic views to the countryside beyond.
The swimming pool ( 14x7m) has steps down and is surrounded on
one side by a large expanse of lawn and bordered by rose bushes. To one
side of the terrace is a large barbeque.
The upstairs bedroom, living area and kitchen all have air conditioning
units.
A lovely, well maintained property, in a peaceful and quiet position,
ensuring total privacy and yet within easy distance to the village, with
shops, bars and restaurants.
