Casa Grande is a classic Andalucian cortijo set in the hills outside of the pretty village of El Gastor just thirty minutes from Ronda. It is part of the large finca of Los Algorrobales which has one hundred acres at your disposal and provides a natural habitat for wildlife as well as an exclusive location for holidays. It is surrounded by pine forests and has an air of tranquillity, which is the ideal remedy for anyone wishing to recuperate from the hurly-burly of modern life.

The accommodation is spacious and has a dining room/hallway with an old beamed ceiling and stone fireplace with ochre washed walls. The sitting room has large windows that let the light flood in. A grand piano compliments the sofa and chairs. The kitchen is rustic but perfectly functional and has a cooker and fridge/freezer, microwave oven and washing machine.

The ground floor contains two of the five bedrooms. These bedrooms each have twin beds and cupboards and share a bathroom with shower, basin and lavatory. Upstairs there are two large double bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The master bedroom has a wooden floor and has access to it’s own private sitting room in the tower. The en suite bathroom has a bath, lavatory and double basins and is tiled in the Moorish style. The second bedroom has a double bed, plenty of cupboard space and a bathroom comprising of a bath/shower, double basin and lavatory.

In addition to the main house, there is a small Casita with a double bedroom, kitchenette and shower room. The Casita is never let solely but only as a supplement to the main house.

Outside there is an abundance of places to sit in the shade and marvel at the view. A small covered patio contains a fountain invoking the Moorish influence of the region. The pool area is simply delightful with many tropical plants and plenty of shade, the pool measures 12x5 metres and has an automatic filtration system. A winding path through the garden takes you to a well- kept tennis court, which is a shared facility.

Casa Grande is equipped with air conditioning (operational from 11.00 am to midnight), satellite television, DVD, CD, hairdryer, cool-box and barbeque. Please note that the house is accessed by a 3 kilometre well-maintained track.
