This is a simply charming property, perched high on a hill, backed by the mountains of El Gastor, and looking out to the lake of Zahara de la Sierra.  The garden is a delight – brimming with pots of colourful geraniums, flowering herbs, plum and almond trees, and, as the name suggests, an incredible collection of cacti.  The lake of Zahara is just 5 minutes drive away, where one can swim or hire a boat for the day, while the friendly white village of El Gastor, with its shops, and bars, is within 5 minutes drive. 

To the front of the house is a lovely covered terrace, surrounded by pots of flowers and fruit trees, with a table and chairs – a magical place for alfresco dining, with magnificent views of the lake and the village of Zahara de la Sierra.  The land slopes gently down, with an orchard of olive and almond trees, giving a unique feeling of space.  A spiral staircase leads up to a spacious roof terrace – the perfect place from which to enjoy the stunning sunsets over the castle of Zahara beyond. 

The cool, open plan living and dining area has a sofa, comfortable arm chairs, a dining table with chairs, seating 6, and open fireplace, and a TV with DVD player. 

There are two double bedrooms, each with wardrobes, and bedside tables, and one twin bedroom with single beds.  The shower room has a walk in shower, basin, wc and bidet, and is prettily decorated with blue and white tiles. 

The well equipped yellow and white tiled  kitchen looks out to the terrace area and garden, and has a microwave, a small oven and gas hob, double sinks and a fridge/freezer.  The washing machine is housed in a utility room to one side of the house. 

The swimming pool measures 7m x 4m, with a shower, and has views out to the countryside, and of the lake, and is surrounded by flowers and lemon trees.  There is a BBQ, and a table with chairs, seating 6, under a shady old olive tree. 

This lovely property is a real oasis of colour and light, with a great feeling of space and peacefulness.
