This charming cottage is situated high on a hill and enjoys the most breathtaking views imaginable out across the entire lake of Zahara to the castle, and of the mountains of the Sierra de Grazalema beyond.  A haven for birdwatchers – Eagle Owls nest in a rocky outcrop just below the property, while Griffon vultures, Scops Owls and many other birds of prey can be seen soaring overhead.  The white village of El Gastor is just 10 minutes drive away, the picturesque villages of Zahara de la Sierra and Grazalema both within easy reach.

This property is reached via a 3 kilometre track winding through stunning countryside.  There is a lovely cobbled terrace with a vine-covered al-fresco dining area with a table and chairs, surrounded by herbs, shrubs and flowering geraniums.  The swimming pool measures 8m x 5m with steps down with shower, is furnished with sun beds and has a wooden pergola to one side providing shade in the hottest months.  There is a picnic table hidden away under a shady carob tree – a wonderful peaceful place to enjoy the stunning sunsets reflected in the lake below.

Casa Luzanohas been carefully restored using local stone and white-wash, so retaining its 100 year old traditional feel.  The sitting room has comfortable wicker furniture, a coffee table and a wood burning stove – there is also a TV, DVD and CD player.  The pretty rustic kitchen has gas hob, microwave oven, sink, fridge freezer and a washing machine.  There is a wood dining table with chairs with a large window looking out to the countryside.  There is one spacious double bedroom, and also a twin bedroom – these, share a shower room with walk in shower, wc and basin, there is a further separate wc with basin.

N.B – not suitable for small children as there is a steep drop in-front of the cottage, and the swimming pool has no shallow end.  The helpful owners live in the grounds of the property, but absolute privacy can be ensured at all times for guests.  Internet access at owners own house possible for guests use.
