This is a highly  unusual, beautiful village house in Gaucin, furnished to a high standard with a pretty garden and a large swimming pool. The views are splendid and there is a large shady terrace with table and chairs seating up to ten people for dining outside. It is rare to find this type of house within a village setting in Andalucia and is marvellous for families that have older children who are able to go out safely on their own and explore, without requiring transport.

Everything has thoughtfully been designed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.  The owners leave books CDs and DVDs for guests to enjoy and ask everyone to respect the house as they would their own home. This is much more than an ordinary rental property.

The house is on three floors; on the middle floor, is the main entrance from the street which leads to the large open plan kitchen dining area. It is equipped with everything you would need in a good kitchen: hob, oven, fridge/ freezer and dishwasher and washing machine. The long dining table comfortably seats eight people. French Windows lead out onto the covered terrace which is surrounded with climbers and pots of plants. Also on this level there is a Studio for yoga, relaxation and meditation.

The sitting room is on the lower level and is very comfortable with elegant furnishings and rugs which is illustrated in the photographs. There is an additional kitchen here and a further dining table and chairs. The single bedroom is located up a few steps from the sitting room with its own shower room decorated in a Morroccan style.

On the upper floor are the three double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.  All  have a romantic feel to them with lovely views, there are mosquito nets and one has a  four-poster bed.

This is a very special house that once encountered you will recommend to your friends as a real gem. The village is a well preserved Andalucian pueblo blanco which has retained its character while absorbing a broad cultural influx.

Many painters live in Gaucin due to the special light that it experiences and there are several galleries and cultural events throughout the year. A good selection of bars and restaurants add to the overall ambiance. 

If central heating and logs are required in the early or late weeks there is a supplement of 250.00 pounds.
