On the hillside below the picturesque white village of Gaucin in Andalucia lies the Casa Laibon surrounded by some of the most unspoilt countryside in southern Europe. The view from the terrace and swimming pool is a pleasure to contemplate, with rolling hills and ancient oak trees.

The house is well designed with an unusual central courtyard that has large windows onto the dining room and sitting room. The main reception rooms are on the first floor and are spacious with high ceilings. The sitting room has comfortable sofas facing an open fireplace with a small library of books. A large covered terrace leads off the sitting room looking down on the swimming pool below. The dining room, on the other side of the courtyard has an oak table with chairs and French windows on either side with various options for dining alfresco according to the time of day- sun or shade. The kitchen has well equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a small breakfast room with French window on to a terrace.

One of the main bedrooms, with a double bed, is on the first floor with it’s own en suite bathroom. A curved staircase leads down to the ground floor where there are a further four bedrooms – three with twin beds and another with a king-sized bed. All have en suite bathrooms with showers, with the double-bedded room also having a bath. All bedrooms have French window that lead out onto terraces that run the length of two sides of the house.

The swimming pool measures 10x5 metres with the deep end designed with an infinity cascade that provides the automatic filtration of the pool. There is plenty of outdoor furniture for sunbathing and dining. Central heating is available if required in the cooler months.

Overall this is an excellent rental villa for groups or families with flexible pricing dependant on the members of the party. The location is unbeatable for Andalucia and has been designed with taste and forethought.
