This is a charming cottage in the village of Gaucin, the prettiest pueblo blanco in the Serrania de Ronda. English owners have made this a paradise with a wonderful tropical garden in the central courtyard. There are lots of steps and several terraces with foliage cascading down the walls. There are sunny and shaded places to sit and a magnificent view from the top terrace. A small, but delightful pool is built into this magical patio (with automatic filtration system), and there is plenty of outdoor furniture for both dining and sunbathing.
Inside the house is cool in the summer months and has the benefit of central heating for the autumn season. Downstairs, a spacious sitting room is tastefully decorated and furnished with two sofas. An archway leads through to a snug room, which has built-in seating around an open fireplace. To the right of the entrance hall, the kitchen has a hob, oven and fridge/freezer and to the rear, a laundry room with washing machine and washroom. The dining room is set apart and leads out onto the internal terrace.
The master bedroom has a double bed and en suite bathroom with bath/shower, basin and lavatory and also has its own terrace. The second bedroom has twin beds placed together and a bathroom on the landing with shower, basin and lavatory.
Across the courtyard there is a further bedroom with a double bed and its own bathroom with shower, basin and lavatory. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance in this lively mountain village. The beaches of the Costa del Sol are just thirty minutes drive.
