Morocco House
is a lovely stone-fronted house situated in a
quiet location, within walking distance of the white hill-top
village of Gaucin. The
property enjoys fantastic, uninterupped views of the surrounding
hills, and the magical mountain “El Hacho” towers in the
background; olive, almond and cypress trees boarder the house on
three sides, giving shade and privacy.
In front of the house is a large, hand-laid brick floored
terrace, surrounded by euculyptus trees, with a wrought iron and
marble table with chairs.
Enter through an antique wood door to a large cool
wood-beamed kitchen with open fireplace, antique dresser, wood
dining table and chairs, and terracotta floors throughout.
There is a microwave and grill, dishwasher, double sink
and fridge-freezer.
To the left is a bedroom with a small double bed (suitable for
two children, or one adult), with ensuite shower room with wc,
basin and shower.
Leading through from the kitchen is a lovely high-ceilinged
sitting room, with Moroccan lamps, bright throws and cushions,
and hand-woven rugs.
There are two comfortable sofas and a glass-topped coffee table,
and a hand-tiled Moroccan table with chairs.
At the far end is an open fireplace, and also sat tv, and
cd music player.
Leading off from the sitting room is a twin bedroom, with two
beds, bright Morroccan rugs, built in wardrobes, and an ensuite
bathroom with bath and shower over, wc, basin and bidet.
The double bedroom has pretty antique bedside tables,
built in wardrobes, and an ensuite shower room with wc, bidet
and basin. These two
bedrooms have airconditioning.
French windows open out to the swimming pool area, which is
surrounded on two sides by grass, and has sun beds and a
Moroccan table and chairs with sun-shade.
The pool measures 9mx5m with a ladder down. There is a
great feeling of peace and quiet and total privacy here.
The owner has stables next door and breeds pure-bred Andalucian
horses. High-school
dressage lessons in the indoor school can be arranged upon
request.
