The Genal Valley is situated between three beautiful Natural Parks, and is a paradise for those wanting to be surrounded by nature at its best – where total peace and quiet abound.  The property is nestled amongst oak, chestnut, almond and poplar trees, and is bordered by the lovely river with clean water and many hidden rock pools in which to swim. Recently built to a high standard with much attention to detail. Accessed via a winding steep tarmac road 5km from the small friendly village of Benarraba, and just a further 7km to the lovely hillside village of Gaucin.

Set slightly above the house is the swimming pool, measuring 12 x6metres, with an automatic filtration system, sun-loungers, umbrellas for shade, all surrounded by olive, quince, fig and pomegranate trees.

The property is surrounded at one side by a partly walled courtyard with natural stone floors, a built-in bbq area and in the centre a large bamboo shaded area with a wooden table and chairs.  The far side is fenced, and leads down to a lower terrace and from there to the river below.  Leading through the front door to a large open-plan living area with high ceilings with beams of local chestnut throughout – to the left is a bathroom with bath and shower over, wc, bidet and basin.  There is a wood burning stove for use in the cooler months, comfortable sofas and coffee tables, and a TV with DVD player (Spanish channels). 

The dining area has a large wooden table with chairs seating 10, which is adjacent to the large functional kitchen which has chestnut wood work surfaces decorated with river stones, and is surrounded by pretty green handmade tiles.  There is a fridge/freezer, double sink, microwave, oven, a dishwasher and a washing machine, with views looking out to the river.  To the left is a hand-made wooden staircase leading up to a mezzanine level, decorated with Moroccan rugs and cushions.  Large french doors open out from the living area to a large balcony-terrace with a table and chairs for alfresco dining.

Downstairs there are three good-sized double bedrooms, each with en suite shower room with tiled walk in shower, wc, bidet and basin, and a further two twin bedrooms, with shower rooms as before.  All bedrooms have built in wardrobes, and night-tables.  A door opens out from this level to a large walled terrace area, surrounded by trees, making it a good and safe place for children to play.  The whole property is very child-friendly, as it is fenced and walled, though there is one steep stairway from the top terrace down to the level below.
