All prices are in pounds sterling and are for bookings of one week (7 nights).
Finca Almendro is perched high on a hillside, surrounded by olive and
almond trees, with breathtaking views to the mountains and valley below.
The friendly village of Alcaucin is just 10 minutes drive away,
and has restaurants, bars and grocery shops.
Malaga airport is half an hour drive.
The beaches of Torre del Mar are just 20 minutes drive, and Nerja
with its lovely secluded coves and good seafood restaurants half an hour
away. The Torcal Nature
reserve, with its abundance of birdlife and lovely walks is close by,
and Granada, Sierra Nevada and Cordoba within in driving distance for
day-trips.
From a shady bamboo-covered terrace, lined with lavender and oleander
and climbing roses, you enter the pretty kitchen which has granite
work-tops, a microwave, oven, gas-hob and double sink.
There is an open fireplace, and a hand-made mosaic dining table
with chairs. Adjacent is a
pantry with a fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
Through to the spacious light double height central hallway, with
terracotta floors, an open fireplace, coffee table and comfortable
wicker furniture, leading to a single bedroom.
The sitting room has a sofa, wood-burning stove, colourful
Moroccan rugs and a satellite TV with DVD player.
French windows open to the pool terrace area.
The open staircase leads to an upper gallery with a double bedroom with
roof terrace and en-suite shower room with wc and a basin, a twin
bedroom with windows opening to a small balcony and a third bedroom with
two bunk beds and views out to the mountains.
These two bedrooms share a large bathroom, with bath, wc and
basin. A door opens to a
large roof terrace.
The salt water swimming pool measures 8x4m has a full filtration system,
with steps down, and looks out to breathtaking views of the mountains in
the distance. To one end of
the pool is a lovely covered sitting area, with a table and wooden
bench, and built-in barbeque and a sink, a great place to enjoy long,
lazy summer lunches.
A lovely, newly converted house full of colour and light and with a
feeling of space and peace. Please note that the house is accessed via a steep concrete track with tight bens but is quite drivable. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
