The landscape of Andalucia is a genuine wonder to behold and from this classic cortijo you appreciate it in all its glory. A more quintessential house representing the culture and lifestyle of the region would be hard to find. This is a graceful way of living - comfortable surroundings, tasteful furniture, paintings and acres of books and yet still completely in tune with one’s natural surroundings. Access to the property is via a 3 kilometre track but a normal car can negotiate it.
The house is large, enabling a group of friends or family to have plenty of space and privacy of their own. For those accustomed to a farming or rural environment you would feel quite at home. The farm manager and his wife, who is the housekeeper for the property, live on the land and have a dog and a couple of horses. The village of Gaucín with shops and restaurants is 9 kilometres away, Ronda 46 kilometres and the coast and beaches 45 kilometres.

HOUSE LAYOUT
The main drawing room is large in size and lined with bookshelves. Double doors lead to the dining room with a lovely round table that seats eight people. Adjacent is the kitchen that has a hob, oven, fridge/ freezer and microwave oven. The ground floor of the main house also has a bedroom with twin beds and en suite bathroom with a shower off the main entrance hall. The master bedroom upstairs has its own en suite bathroom, dressing room and sitting room. The bed is a king size bed and the sitting room affords plenty of space to both relax or work - if you have to bring some on holiday. There is a flat screen television provided.
The other three bedrooms are accessed separately from the main house. The first has twin beds and an en suite bathroom with a walk in shower. Large windows look out onto the surrounding countryside and the decor is bright and cheeful. The fourth and fifth bedroom form an apartment of their own, being either side of a sitting room with its own television. One of the rooms here has a double bed and the other twin beds. They each have en suite bathrooms, one with a bath and shower overhead and one with a walk in shower. For two families traveling together it is a good layout for sharing.

OUTSIDE SPACE
The house stands on a hill with the it's land rolling out before it with woodland, arable and livestock. There is a partially covered terrace with plenty of outdoor furniture and a separate dining area for ten people under a covered pergola - a truly lovely spot to dine both at lunchtime or on a summer's evening. The swimming pool is large, 11 x 5 metres, and surrounded by lawn and furnished with sunbeds. The view from the pool area is idyllic.
