VILLA CASA ARDILLA

La Ardilla is a lovely contemporary holiday villa located fifteen minutes outside the historic town of Ronda. It is set in a walnut grove which is a natural habitat for birds and squirrels - hence its name, meaning The Squirrel. There is a three kilometre track to the house drivable in a normal car. A charming tree-lined drive takes you down to the house which is surrounded by a recently planted garden with agapanthus and geraniums.

Malaga and Seville Airports are approximately one hour and thirty five minutes and the coast just over an hour's drive . It is well placed for exploring the area with plenty of pueblos blancos and cities to visit. The village of Arriate is just a few minutes’ drive where there is a first class restaurant and Ronda is twenty minutes away. The property has no close neighbours and is set in approximately 4 acres of land.

Villa Details

HOUSE LAYOUT

The accommodation is all arranged on the ground floor (the upper storey being closed off) with a large open plan area for the kitchen, dining area and sitting room. The kitchen has a three ring ceramic hob, sink and fridge/freezer and an adjacent utility room with a combination oven and microwave. There is also a washing machine available. Appliances include kettle, coffee maker and food mixer. A large wooden table and 6 dining chairs with modern lighting provide a convivial atmosphere.

The sitting room has a three seater sofa and three armchairs with hardwood frames and cushions. Picasso prints adorn the walls adding to the contemporary feel. Heating if required is provided by a marvellous Bullerjan woodburning stove that heats the whole property. A large flat screen television and DVD have been installed.

The bedrooms are fresh and light. The first bedroom has two single beds placed together with an en suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. There are French windows that open out into the garden. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be made up as single or as a large double, also with French windows to the garden. The third bedroom has a three-quarter sized bed. All rooms have cupboards.


OUTSIDE SPACE

Outside there are terraces, two umbrellas for shade over table and chairs for dining al fresco and a good BBQ. The swimming pool measuring 9 x 5 metres with full filtration system has Roman steps and is accompanied by six sunbeds - pool towels are provided. The pool is surrounded by lawn and and permanent brezo umbrellas.
