VILLA CASA EL POLO

This is a lovely old style house, in one of the most privileged locations in Andalucia, outside the village of Gaucín. It is part of the extensive Finca Almuña that occupies several hundred acres looking towards the Bay of Gibraltar and Africa. At Almuña there are about a dozen houses discreetly built with total privacy uppermost, where one can not be seen from another.

 Occupying a quiet spot, it is a charming place in which to unwind with a pretty and well tended garden. Maid service is provided three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon. One bedroom and sitting room is closed, being reserved for the owners, which at no time is occupied by the owners when clients are staying.

HOUSE LAYOUT

The gate at the front of the house offers access to a hall. In front of you is the inner courtyard and to the right is the main kitchen/dining room with a large dining table seating eight and a functional, classic kitchen.French windows leads out onto the terrace.

The house has two bedrooms which are accessed through the courtyard. The first one has a king size double bed and the second twin beds placed together. The rooms have high ceilings and are generally light and airy with plenty of wardrobe space. Both have bathrooms with walk-in showers, baths, basins and lavatories. Adjacent to the second bedroom there is a comfortable sitting room with a sofa and armchairs around a wood burning fire, and a small galley kitchen. 


OUTSIDE SPACE

El Polo has been well designed around a courtyard, full of fruit trees and flowers that provides a haven of birdsong and scented air. On the (south facing) side of the house there is a large swimming pool surrounded by lawn and a magnificent oak tree. The extensive covered terrace that overlooks the pool is effectively an open air sitting room with sofa and chairs in which to laze away the day. There are several dining areas outside and a barbeque.
