AgreeRonda is a lesser known region for quality dry white and red wines. However, in recent years, Ronda winemakers have been revitalizing the potential of this historic winemaking region, putting Ronda back on the map as a first class destination for enotourism.
There are currently over 25 wineries (“bodegas”) in an area of approximately 250 hectares of vineyards. Growing conditions are ideal for certain grape varieties such as Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah & Tempranillo (Tinto) and Chardonnay, Macabeo & Sauvignon Blanc (Blanco). Ronda wine is fast becoming recognized both nationally and internationally.
